This one is precious - the Hawaiian
green-tailed peacock.

Stephanie chanced upon one of the
peacocks standing behind one of the
cycads, grabbed the camera, and
captured this unusual pose.

Bailey is very happy at the farm and
refuses to leave.  This was especially
true after we hiked down to the stream
and she found the water.  She hopped
in and did not want to come out.

Here she is being chased around the
truck at the end of a visit.  Get in,
Bailey!!!

Here's the banana patch that keeps us stocked... We've harvested at least one
bunch (not your typical Safeway bunch - there's about 50 on a 'bunch'!) every
weekend that we've visited the farm.  The plants are huge.

Harvesting the bunches requires that the tree is slowly felled so that the
bunch does not hit the ground.  We had to call Noel's Mom in the Philippines
to figure this out.  She's a pro.

We're constantly inventing ways to use bananas: banana bread, muffins,
smoothies...Our friends Paul and Judi smile as we hand over a load to them.
I can just imagine them thinking 'oh great, more bananas!'  Even Bailey
refuses to eat them now.  Now that's a first.
